The technical support engineer job is responsible for providing technical support, diagnosing and repairing floats resolving network issues. Responsibilities
- Investigate and identify solutions to software and hardware problems
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues, including account setup and network configuration
- Ask specific customer questions to understand the root cause of the problem quickly
- Follow up on IT system issues until they are resolved within agreed timeframes
- Take a series of actions with customers, either by phone, email or chat, until they fix a technical issue
- Properly escalate unresolved issues to appropriate internal teams (e.g. software engineers)
- Provide your customers with accurate and timely feedback
- Refer to the internal database or external resources to make available correct technical solutions
- Make sure all issues are properly logged
- Prioritize and manage multiple open issues at once
- Follow up with customers to ensure their IT systems are fully operational after troubleshooting
- Generate accurate and timely reports
- Document technical knowledge in the form of notes and manuals
- Maintain happy relationships with customers
